ABOUT THE EXHIBITION

Every rescue animal has a story. Some begin with hardship, uncertainty, or loss. Yet through compassion, care, and second chances, those stories can be rewritten.

This exhibition celebrates Jacksonville Humane Society alumni whose lives were transformed through rescue and the people who helped make those transformations possible.

Through portraiture and storytelling, REWRITTEN: Stories of Second Chances honors resilience, hope, and the extraordinary bond between animals and the families who love them.

Toast to the Animals

An evening celebrating the animals who need us.

Join Jacksonville Humane Society on October 2 for the 28th annual Toast to the Animals, benefiting the JHS Medical Fund and helping provide care for animals in need.

Guests will also have the opportunity to experience REWRITTEN: Stories of Second Chances throughout two floors of the Jessie Ball duPont Center and see the portraits and paintings up close.
