THE STORIES LIVE ON

A New Home for REWRITTEN
Jacksonville Humane Society

Following its debut at the Jessie Ball duPont Center, REWRITTEN: Stories of Second Chances has found a lasting home at the Jacksonville Humane Society, where the fine-art collection is now on indefinite loan from The PAWtographers®.

About the Project

REWRITTEN: Stories of Second Chances

Every adoption begins a new chapter.

REWRITTEN: Stories of Second Chances celebrates the lives that begin after adoption through fine-art portraits, paintings and the stories of 17 Jacksonville Humane Society alumni.

The project looks beyond the moment an animal leaves the shelter to the life that follows—the families they find, the people they change and the many different forms a second chance can take.

Originally unveiled at the Jessie Ball duPont Center in Jacksonville in August 2026, the exhibition has now found a lasting home at the Jacksonville Humane Society, where the collection is on indefinite loan from The PAWtographers®.

What began as an exhibition celebrating second chances continues as a lasting tribute to the extraordinary bonds between rescued animals and the people who love them.
