Daisy Belle was still waiting for her forever home when her foster family brought her to meet Pacer.
The introduction couldn't have gone any better.
The two dogs became instant best friends, and from that moment on, Daisy Belle became a Kingsbury. She had found the family she had been waiting for, and Pacer had found the little sister he didn't know he needed.
From the very beginning, Daisy Belle embraced life with contagious enthusiasm. Ben describes her as the happiest soul he has ever known. Her smile could brighten anyone's day, and she loved every person she met. Sometimes she became so excited to greet a new friend that she'd even pee a little, making everyone laugh along with her.
Life, to Daisy Belle, was one grand adventure.
She loved following in Pacer's footsteps, spending time as Gotham City Limit's Shop Dog, and making friends wherever she went. In 2026, she earned a special honor of her own when she was named Jacksonville's Cutest Pet, becoming the face of a citywide billboard and making her family incredibly proud.
But Daisy Belle was never defined by awards or recognition.
She was the stray who became a princess. The dog who believed everyone deserved a happy greeting, every day deserved a celebration, and every moment was something to enjoy. Her joy wasn't reserved for special occasions. It was simply the way she lived.
When Daisy Belle was diagnosed with a bone tumor, her family cherished every remaining day they had together. She crossed the Rainbow Bridge on March 15, 2026, surrounded by the people who loved her most.
Ben believes Daisy Belle would want all of us to live the way she did: loving without hesitation, greeting each day with excitement, and believing that every single moment is the greatest thing ever.
That may be the greatest gift she left behind.
