Some dogs take time to warm up. Not Sailor. Despite coming from a backyard breeding situation, she settled into her foster home with the grace of a seasoned hostess. At just 6 years old, she’s already claimed the title of official greeter of the “SunSational Seven.” (okay, that's what we're calling her because when we arrived at the foster's home, who was all tailwags and saying hello? Sailor!)
She’s sweet. She’s stunning. And oh yes—she’s a world-class snuggler.
🌞 From Shed to Shine
Sailor is one of the SunSational Seven, a group of Cavaliers surrendered after their owner passed away. These pups had lived their lives in a dark shed with minimal care. When Cavalier Rescue of Florida stepped in, Sailor was among the youngest of the group—and perhaps the most outgoing.
She arrived flea-ridden, under-socialized, and with sensitive ears. But her tail? It never stopped wagging.
🐾 Getting to Know Sailor
This girl knows what she wants. A cozy crate (her safe space). Blankets arranged just so (she’s got a technique). A full food bowl (dreamed about while napping beside it). And affection—lots of it. Sailor will happily ask for pets… just avoid those ears, please.
She’s learning leash manners and housebreaking, and she loves her 8-year-old human foster sibling. While she barks at male dogs, she’s getting the hang of pack life and is currently being fostered with Coral.
