Miniature Schnauzer Murphy struts through the sunshine at Rogers Park in Naples, Florida—tail high, brows furrowed, and looking like he just walked off a schnauzer GQ shoot.

Murphy is six years of spunk, sass, and perfectly groomed facial hair. He’s got opinions, a serious sock collection, and the kind of presence that says, “I make the rules around here.”

Suzannah always knew she was destined for schnauzer life. She grew up with them, so when it came time to get her own pup, the only question was which one. One glance at Murphy as a four-week-old fluff ball and it was game over.

We’ve known this handsome boy for a while, and photographing him is always a treat. Despite his serious face and model-worthy expressions, Murphy is the sweetest, friendliest soul. He’s the kind of dog who makes everyone feel like the guest of honor—and then maybe steals their socks for good measure.

He’s fiercely loved, a little spoiled (as he should be), and absolutely unforgettable.
