Want to Be a Dog Model? Here's the Scoop.

We’re always on the lookout for pups with personality, presence, and that extra “something.” Whether it’s a show coat that turns heads or a smile that stops traffic, if your dog’s got it—we want to know.

But before you hit submit, let’s cover a few important details:

🌴 We’re Florida-Based… Mostly.

Our model sessions take place primarily in Northeast Florida and Naples, and we give priority to dogs located here (or visiting soon!).

If you're in New York, California, or anywhere else outside the Sunshine State, we probably won't be calling unless:

  • You’re planning a trip to Florida soon
  • Or we’ve announced a model call in your area (see bottom of page for immediate needs)

Yes, you're still welcome to apply—but fair warning, we may not reach out unless the stars (and your zip code) align.

📋 Dog Model Requirements

1. Model Release
Standard industry stuff—you’ll sign a release so we can legally use your dog’s images for editorial, commercial, and portfolio use.

2. Have Fun
Yes, this is technically work. But the kind with treats, belly rubs, and lots of laughs.

3. Your Thank-You Gift
As payment for your dog’s modeling awesomeness, you’ll receive a fine art 8x10 print (matted to 11x14, $290 value), plus a signature, social-media-sized digital file. And if your dog has their own IG handle? We'll tag them like the influencer they are.

📍 Location: 3800 County Road 305, Elkton, FL
⏰ Start Time: 7:00 AM sharp

Dates: Weekday, late October

Who We Need:

3 Photogenic Pups to Help Us Test a Brand-New Session! 

We’re reaching out to our Florida dog models for help testing a brand-new Signature Session offering: Wildflower Sunrise Portraits 🌸

This is a model call for:
🐾 One small dog
🐾 One medium dog
🐾 One large dog

Here’s what we’re looking for:
✔️ Solid sit-stay skills
✔️ Comfortable around other dogs
✔️ Availability on a weekday morning during the last two weeks of October
✔️ Willingness to be on location in Elkton, FL at sunrise (approx. 7:00 AM)
✔️ Bonus points if you're open to being in a few photos with your pup (and dressed the part!)

We’re planning to photograph several dogs during the same morning, so dogs must be social and focused—we’ll be moving quickly to capture the best light and test a range of setups for this new Signature Session, which will launch as a limited offering in November.

To be considered:

1. Complete the Dog Model Application HERE.

2. Email us at @ info@thepawtographers.com with the following information:

  • Your dog’s name, breed/mix, and approximate size
  • Whether you’re open to being photographed with your dog
  • Which weekday mornings work best for you during the last two weeks of October

We’ll be reaching out to selected model pawrents in a few weeks with the finalized date and details! (The flower farm is confirming their estimated time of opening, which is dependent on when they are able to plant the fields in August.)

Who We Need:

We’re looking for well-trained, bomb-proof dogs who are:

  • Comfortable in group settings and unfamiliar environments
  • Solid on sit, down, and stay
  • Basically the kind of dog that doesn't flinch at a leaf blower or a squirrel on stilts
