Golden retrievers. Two hearts. One mission: get wet, stay joyful, steal the show.

Captain and Charm made waves—literally—during their underwater portrait session in Port Orange, Florida. These two golden besties didn’t just dip a toe in; they cannonballed straight into our hearts with nonstop energy, unfiltered joy, and the kind of bond you can feel from across the pool deck.

Charm is ten, but you wouldn’t know it by the way she moved. She swam like she had something to prove (and maybe a little something to retrieve). Elegant, sweet, and fully in her element, she reminded us that age is just a number—especially when there’s a pool involved. 

And then there’s Captain. Seven years old, full of mischief, and possibly auditioning for the role of “Chief Distraction Officer.” Known for stealing anything not nailed down—just for the thrill of being chased—he brought his signature goofy charm (pun fully intended) to every splash, dive, and dramatic paddle. We’ve met a lot of dogs over the years, but these two left an impression. Deeply bonded, endlessly sweet, and truly the kind of dogs you don’t forget. Their joy was contagious, and their love for the water—and each other—was unmistakable.

Their owners, Carol and her husband, clearly treasure every bit of who they are. And after this session, so do we.
