Two Days, 200 Goldens, and a Whole Lot of Joy

There are dog events… and then there’s the Jupiter Golden Jubilee.
Two days of sunshine, sparkle, sandy paws, and the happiest dogs on earth gathered in one place — it’s the kind of weekend that stays with you.

This was our first year as the official photographers, and we were absolutely blown away. We photographed every event and donated all of our edited images as free downloads for every participant. And yes — we’ll be back in 2026.

Friday Night: Costumes, Creativity & Golden Magic

Harbourside Place transformed into a golden retriever runway as dozens of pups took over the stage in the costume parade. Superheroes, sea creatures, perfectly coordinated family ensembles — these goldens showed up ready to charm.

The laughter, the applause, the wagging — a perfect kickoff to an unforgettable weekend.

Saturday Morning: The Infamous Group Photo

If one moment captures the spirit of the Jubilee, it’s the massive group portrait on Jupiter’s dog beach.

Let’s set the record straight:
The goldens? Absolute perfection. Sitting sweetly, posing beautifully, ready for their close-ups.

The pawrents? Well…
Hahahaha. A delight — but unintentionally our biggest challenge.

The moment everyone settled in, dozens of people immediately turned to smile at their friends’ cell phones instead of the official photographers. It made for some truly hilarious behind-the-scenes clips — and it proved, once again, that wrangling humans is much harder than wrangling 200 goldens.

Notes to ourselves for next year:
✔️ Megaphone
✔️ Cones or flags to mark the sand
✔️ Step ladder (absolutely happening)
✔️ A gentle reminder: look toward the official photographer, not your friend’s iPhone

Despite the comedy, the final photo? Iconic. And very, very golden.

Right After: The Great Ocean Romp

As soon as the group photo wrapped, the beach came alive. Goldens launched themselves into the surf, splashed anyone within range, dug enormous holes, greeted every dog and human they could find, and ran zoomies like their lives depended on it.

Sunshine, saltwater, sandy paws, and 200 goldens living their best lives — it was everything we adore photographing.

Saturday Evening: Picnic, Raffles & Family Portraits

As the sun dipped low, families gathered for raffles, dinner, and an evening picnic surrounded by relaxed, content, freshly tired-out goldens. We wrapped the day with quick family portraits — pups still sandy, salty, and glowing.

A warm, easy close to a joy-filled weekend.

The Heart Behind the Jubilee

The Jupiter Golden Jubilee proudly supports the Golden Retriever Rescue of Mid-Florida, Inc., and helps raise awareness for the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, a groundbreaking research effort tracking thousands of goldens to better understand — and ultimately help prevent — cancer and other canine diseases.

This event has purpose woven through every wag and every wave.

This extraordinary weekend exists because of one remarkable human: Charlotte Hertz. Her passion, leadership, and genuine devotion to this breed make the Jubilee what it is. Charlotte — thank you for trusting us and welcoming us so warmly into the Jubilee family.
