A Brush with Nature – Where Art Meets the Wild Side

This weekend, we had the joy of trading our usual four-legged muses for easels, brushes, and vibrant Florida landscapes! The PAWtographers are honored to be the official event photographers for A Brush with Nature—Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens’ signature fundraiser in partnership with the First Coast Plein Air Painters.

🎨 What’s the Buzz?
Now through Sunday, June 1, over 35 acclaimed plein air artists are scattered across the Arboretum capturing its hidden trails, blooming botanicals, and sun-dappled lakes—live and in the moment. It’s nature, reimagined on canvas.

🌿 Why You Should Go (If You Haven’t Yet!)

  • Live painting demos throughout the day
  • Kids’ art activities and plenty of outdoor inspiration
  • Food trucks to keep you fueled
  • A Visual Artist Awards Reception honoring incredible local talent
  • Beautiful art to purchase

🍽️ Brunch at Brush – Sunday at 11 a.m.
The weekend wraps with a delicious twist: Brunch at Brush—an elegant outdoor picnic catered by Biscotti’s, with live music and a chance to mingle with the artists as they paint and sell their work. Tickets are $35 and support the Arboretum directly. Purchase here.

💚 Whether you’re an art lover, a nature wanderer, or just looking for a lovely way to spend the day, this event has something for everyone.

Swipe through a few favorite moments below—and if you see us, be sure to smile (even if you’re not a dog 😉).
