Sometimes you donโt need a grand adventure.
Sometimes all it takes is a patch of grass, a salty breeze, and a wagging tail to make a perfect summer day. โ๏ธ๐พ
If you're looking for fun, easy outings with your dog, we've rounded up some of our favorite quick trips in Northeast Florida and Naples โ perfect for kicking off the summer season.
Historic St. Augustine:
Wander through cobblestone streets, explore dog-friendly shops, relax on pet-welcoming patios, and soak up the city's charming historic vibe. Donโt forget a treat (or two) for your pup at one of the local cafรฉs! Insider Tip: Go early - before 8 am - and park at the parking lot by the Fort. Then walk over to St. George Street.
Neptune Beach:
Start with a sunrise walk at the Lemon Street Beach Access, where early mornings mean cooler sand and wide-open space for sniffing, splashing, and stretching those legs.
Southern Grounds at Neptune Beach:
After your walk, grab breakfast and espresso on the dog-friendly patio at Southern Grounds. Fresh air + fresh coffee = the best way to start a day with your dog.
Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens:
Enjoy shaded trails winding through beautiful natural gardens. Itโs an easy, peaceful stroll thatโs perfect for warm summer mornings (dogs on leash welcome!).
Fountain of Friendship Park in San Marco:
Perfect for a sunset stroll around the iconic fountain, complete with dog-friendly patios nearby. Thereโs something about the light in San Marco at dusk that feels like pure magic.
Third Street South Farmers Market (Saturdays):
Every Saturday, wander through colorful market stalls with your dog by your side. Fresh flowers, local produce, and plenty of friendly faces make it a true Naples tradition. (7:30 am - 11:30 am)
Paws Pet Boutique:
One of our favorite stops! Browse stylish collars, treats, toys, and gifts for dog lovers. Your pup might even get spoiled with a little sample at the counter. ๐พ
Rodgers Park:
Tucked into Naples, this shady, peaceful mini-park offers a quiet space for leashed walks, playtime, and laid-back exploring โ a perfect morning or evening outing.
Keewaydin Island:
This barrier island is pure paradise for dogs who love sand and surf. Accessible only by boat, Keewaydin offers pristine beaches where leashed dogs are welcome to splash and explore. Tip: No Boat? Check out the Hemingway Water Shuttle.
Bonita Beach Dog Park:
Off-leash beach fun at its finest! Shallow, warm waters make this hidden gem between Naples and Fort Myers a favorite for social pups who love to swim.
