No expectations. No rushing. And definitely no asking them to behave like dogs.

When your cat arrives at our private studio, we give them time to look around, investigate and decide what they think of us. Some are ready to explore immediately. Others prefer to observe for a while. We follow their lead.

We use patience, toys, treats, sounds and plenty of experience to encourage the expressions we’re looking for without forcing the moment. Sometimes the photograph happens exactly where we planned it. Sometimes your cat has a better idea.

Sometimes the Dog Gets Invited.

Because some friendships are simply part of the story.

Cats may rule the house, but they don’t always rule it alone. If your cat shares their world with a dog — or another cat — they’re welcome to be part of the portrait experience too.

Whether they’re inseparable, politely tolerant or operating under a carefully negotiated household truce, we’ll work with their personalities and comfort levels to create portraits that capture the relationships that belong together.
