I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I’ve once again been named one of Florida’s Top 10 Photographers by the Florida Professional Photographers (FPP). This recognition is based on my top six scoring images in their annual Image Competition—and every single one of them tells a story I’m proud to have captured.

What makes this especially meaningful? I’ve achieved Top 10 status every time I’ve entered FPP’s image competition. That kind of consistency doesn’t happen by accident—it’s built on years of experience, a love of storytelling, and maybe just a little obsession with perfect lighting and the right amount of dog drool.

What’s the Image Competition All About?

FPP’s Image Competition is a juried review where professional photographers from across the state submit their best work for critique and scoring. To earn a Top 10 spot, you must:

Enter at least six qualifying images
Earn high scores based on 12 elements of a merit image, including impact, creativity, and technical excellence
Be a member of FPP and submit images that have not previously merited

It’s a high bar, and I’m proud to clear it with images that reflect the heart of what I do—elevating dogs (and their people) through powerful, story-driven imagery.

The Top Six Images That Secured the Spot

These six images earned me Florida’s Top 10 Photographer recognition for 2025. Each one carries a unique story—and a bit of that signature PAWtographers magic:

This little Frenchie showed up 10 inches tall and 100% attitude. Studio drop? Optional. Sass? Required. 🐾 Also awarded: International Pet Photography Awards (Bronze), PPA Showcase Collection, ASP Seal of Merit

Proof that some dogs were simply born for sunrise surf sessions—and dramatic lighting.

The bullies? Not here for your nonsense. Definitely here for the drama.

What do you get when you have a good friend who fosters rescue dogs, loves Halloween, and enables a brain that works like a squirrel on espresso?

A full moon. Five dogs in costume. Scary trees. And a nostalgic fever dream with a tail-wagging twist. Waiting on the Great Pumpkin is equal parts imagination, mischief, and heart—and it earned its own Award of Excellence in the Artist category.
